My heart is racing so fast. I've been so busy at work and haven't posted anything - but there also hasn't been much to say. I was going to post tonight anyway just saying that Mary set up our final home study visit. It was supposed to be for this Friday but I needed to postpone it until next Friday so I can give her all the paperwork from our doctors appointments next week.
Well, while that is all well and good and I am moving along on schedule for March, Mary calls me just now. She has a birthmother ready to deliver in April and she thinks Sean and I are perfect for this scenario. I am sick to my stomach. I can't say much about the birthmother but Mary told me all about her. She is young and I will leave it at that. Sean and I are talking tonight - we really haven't invested money in Gladney although we were so happy and comfortable with them. But this scenario is appealing. It's through Catholic Family Services - an organization we looked at but didn't pursue because the waiting time was so long. My heart hasn't slowed down yet and I am forgetting to breathe. We could have a baby in this house in APRIL. APRIL? APRIL OF 2007.
OK, I need to unwind and go for a walk to release some of this nervous energy. And Sean and I have a lot of talking to do. My head is spinning and so many things are running through it. Sean just yelled up the stairs saying he's going to run around the house because he doesn't know what else to do. In all seriousness, we have a lot of research to do on this scenario. Sean is meeting tomorrow with an adoption attorney he knows. We're going to read up on the CT adoption laws and formulate a list of questions. Then we have to call Mary back ASAP and tell her if we have general interest. Once we do that, we would get more information on the situation and if we're still interested, she would show this birthmother our profile. We'll keep you posted. (And we'll try not to be excited that Mary thinks we'd be a good fit for a family already.)
Love,
Lucy, Des and Sean (future parents of a baby from Connecticut or Texas - the options are limitless at this point.)

Sean and Des,
This is great news! Spring is an awesome time to have a baby! A little Cowboys or Patriots fan? Let's have both. You are going to be rockstar parents to either and we are going to be the proudest aunt and uncle on the block.
Love,
Erin & Andy
Here's hoping you'll hit that curveball straight out of Yankee stadium (provided they're not playing my beloved Red Sox!).
Danielle & I are extremely excited with this latest news and are eagerly awaiting the upcoming months.
Things are moving quite quickly now, in fact yesterday, I received a letter from Ms. Mary asking for some more of my observations. This is an easy task with such a terrific couple as you & Sean. The letter's in the mail...
Love,
Toby
