I spent the majority of today filling out the entire home study application and questionnaire. What a productive day! If every day were like today, this baby will be coming home in 2 months. But we all know that some days will be more productive than others and some not productive at all.
It was actually fun filling out the home study questionnaire. It forced me to reflect on childhood memories, high school times (good and bad), childhood friends, special family times and so many more fun things to think back to. Some of the things I haven't thought of in years. This is actually a fun part of the process...taking little trips down memory lane. We have to handwrite the questionnaire and I don't write anything anymore so that was a little challenging. My hand hurts because I wrote for 3 hours straight. I feel so good that I got that done though.
Sean is downstairs taking a nap so I got all his paperwork together and have it ready for him to fill out as soon as he wakes up. It will be a good thing for him to do while he watches the Patriot game. I hope he finds it as enjoyable as I did.
I downloaded the FBI forms so my next step there is to call my local police department tomorrow and schedule an appointment to get fingerprinted. Getting the approval paperwork back from the FBI can take 8-10 weeks. It's safe to say our application process will definitely be more like the 4-5 month range. I'm going to challenge myself to get it done and submitted before March 1st. I think that is reasonable and doable.
Back to work tomorrow. I've really enjoyed having some days off...they just go way to quickly though.
