Sean, Jake, Lucy and myself are extremely excited to report we have started the process to adopt another child. We have chosen an agency located in Utah and have decided to pursue another domestic infant adoption. We have been so blessed with Jake - he is an amazing son and we love watching him grow and discover life. It's hard to believe he will turn 3 years old in April already. So the journey begins...we want Jake to have a little brother or sister. We know the road may not be smooth but we are prepared for whatever comes our way. We welcome it all.
We'll be working with our social worker, Mary, on the home study pre-placement and post placement. Our home studies start this month and our goal os to have everything wrapped up by the end of January and submitted to the agency so birthmothers can start reviewing our application and profile. From there, the agency says it will take 4 months to 1 year to have a child placed with us. It's a bit overwhelming to think about but the timing is working for us. This is the same timing we used to bring Jake home so we hope we have the same good fortune for round two. We welcome you to follow along on our journey...it's going to be an exciting 2010!
